Strychnine Control of Richardson’s Ground Squirrels

Through Saskatchewan’s Strychnine Stewardship Program, eligible producers can take the following steps to access strychnine for responsible control of Richardson’s ground squirrels.

  1. Complete online training at https://sarm.ca/strychnine-stewardship-training/ 
  2. Submit a mandatory Treatment Plan and Declaration Form
  3. Purchase through your RM
  4. Apply during recommended windows (March 1 to June 15 and July 15 to September 1)
  5. Complete the Product Evaluation Form
